Our History

Local Evangelism was founded in February 2013 under the supervision of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, located at 706 Nye Ave, Irvington, New Jersey, 07111. All the members of the committee agreed to one and only ojective to obey the order of Jesus Christ proclaiming the Gospel in the surrounding communities first, and then to everyone (Matt. 28:19-20).

Our Mission

Local Evangelism is a subdivision of New Jerusalem Baptist Church located at 706 Nye Ave, Irvington, NJ. Its primary mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the surrounding community and also to spread this good news to all creation. More than ever, the world needs this good news of the Gospel, a Power of God for the salvation of all who believe, the Jew first, then the Greek (Rom. 1:16), therefore the local evangelism of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church responds to the ever pressing command of Jesus Christ: Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the world (Matt. 28:19-20).
